1.1 Face Data - Important Disclosure
PhotoPatcher does NOT collect, extract, or store biometric face data.
Our app processes user-provided images that may contain faces, but we want to be absolutely clear about what this means:
What face data does the app process?
PhotoPatcher processes user-provided images that may contain faces, but does not collect, extract, or store any biometric face data or facial recognition information.
How are images containing faces used?
Images containing faces are processed holistically by AI for artistic editing purposes only. The AI system:

Is face data shared with third parties?
User images (which may contain faces) are temporarily transmitted to Google Gemini API for AI-based image editing only. No facial biometric data is extracted or shared. Google processes the complete image for editing purposes, not for facial identification or analysis.
How long is face data retained?
No face data is retained. User images are:
- Processed in real-time
- NOT stored on our servers
- Deleted immediately after editing is complete
- Temporarily processed by Google Gemini API (typically deleted within 24-48 hours according to Google's data handling policies)
